The injury beat down continues for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs had to place right-handed starting pitcher Joe Musgrove on the 10-day Injured List with pitching arm biceps inflammation. The team is now without its top three starting pitchers from last year’s team. In addition to Musgrove, Jameson Taillon and Chris Archer are out for the season.
The Pirates also moved reliever Clay Holmes from the 10-day IL to the 45-day IL – ending his season.
The Pirates will resume play in Cincinnati tomorrow night – after having their series in St. Louis postponed.
