The Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets game scheduled for Labor Day Monday afternoon was rained out and will be made up Wednesday as part of a day-night doubleheader. The two teams play tonight at 6:35pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:10pm. The Bucs have lost four straight games and were swept in their weekend series with Toronto.
Wednesday’s games will have 12:35pm and 6:35pm start times.
New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit his league-leading 54th home run Monday. He has now homered in five of his last seven games, and is on pace to break the Roger Maris American League record of 61 set in 1961. The Judge home run came in the Yankees 135th game. Maris hit his 54th home run in the Yankees 139th game that season.
