The Pittsburgh Pirates had their four-game winning streak snapped following a 5-4 loss in 10-innings to the Miami Marlins last night. The Pirates tied the game 2-2 with a run in the ninth inning to force the extra frame before scoring twice in the top of the 10th. But the Marlins would score three runs off David Bednar in the bottom of the inning and scored the walk-off run on a wild pitch.
Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker did not allow a run on just three hits over seven innings. He walked two and struck out nine.
The Bucs and Marlins complete their four-game series today with a 12:10pm first pitch. WISR will join the game following the Noon News.
The Pirates head to Colorado after the game for a weekend three-game series ahead of the All-Star Break.
