The Pitt men’s basketball team will host Boston College tonight at the Petersen Events Center. Tip-off is 9pm. The Panthers have won five games in a row and are 18-7 overall. At 11-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, they are tied with Virginia for first place in conference play. Boston College enters the game 12-14 overall and 6-9 in the ACC.
Alabama has replaced Purdue at #1 in the AP Men’s Basketball top-25. It is the first time in 20 years the Crimson Tide have reached the top spot in basketball. Houston is second followed by Purdue, after the Boilermakers were upset by Northwestern Sunday. It was the first time in Northwestern school history that they defeated the #1-ranked team in the nation.
