The Pitt men’s basketball team defeated North Carolina 73-65 on the road last night. The Panthers improved to 11-4 overall, and 2-2 in the ACC. The Tar Heels fell to 8-7 and 1-3 in the ACC. Pitt will visit Miami Sunday.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, Pitt gave head coach Jeff Capel a two-year contract extension through the 2026-27 season. Capel signed a seven-year contract with Pitt when he was hired to lead the men’s program in March of 2018.
Duquesne improved to 3-0 in the Atlantic 10 conference following a 78-60 win on the road at Saint Joseph’s. The Dukes are 13-2 overall.
