The Pittsburgh City Paper is shutting down.
The alt-weekly paper made its debut in 1991, covering local stories in the Pittsburgh area.
It was purchased by the Butler Eagle in 2016 before being sold to Block Communications in 2023.
Officials with Block say the paper was not financially sustainable over the long-term.
