The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have reached the USL Eastern Conference final for the first time in team history after defeating Detroit Saturday night before a sell-out crowd of more than 6,000 fans at Highmark Stadium. For the second straight week, the Riverhounds went scoreless with a playoff opponent in regulation, before winning 4-3 on penalty kicks.
The ‘Hounds will get to host Rhode Island this Saturday, a team they shutout twice during the regular season. Rhode Island defeated North Carolina 2-0 Saturday.
