State Police have released more details on a crash earlier this week that sent a truck into a building in Center Township.
Police say the crash happened Monday night just before 9 p.m. when 41-year-old Phillip Mennor of Butler was driving south on Sunset Drive.
He allegedly went off the road, hit a mailbox, and then went back across the road before hitting a hillside and becoming airborne.
Mennor first hit a shed and then barreled into the roof of Golden Dreams jewelry store.
Crews had to extricate Mennor from the vehicle. He suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Pittsburgh trauma center. Police didn’t release any additional information on Mennor’s injuries.
Police say Mennor showed signs of impairment and believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
