Police have issued an arrest warrant in the shooting death of a man in Muddy Creek Township last week.
22-year-old Paris Carter of Downington is being charged with one count of criminal homicide.
Police were called to the scene of a shooting on a gravel road just off of East Porterville Road last Monday around 8 p.m. When they arrived, police found 38-year-old David Hines had been shot in the head and was unresponsive.
According to a criminal complaint, Carter and Hines were with two other men hanging out earlier during the day. An argument ensued between the two, which led to Carter shooting Hines.
Carter then drove for about 15 minutes before crashing the SUV into an embankment. He and the two other men then fled the scene, before being picked up in a mini-van near a campground—which was caught on video surveillance.
