State Police have announced they are preparing charges against a man in connection with a dog that was left outside of the Humane Society in freezing temperatures.
State Police have not announced a name of the man being charged but said he was a 64-year-old man from Karns City.
Police was able to track the man down and interviewed him on Dec. 13, where he admitted to leaving the dog, Libby, in front of the shelter.
He will be charged in the Evans City District Magistrate court. A criminal complaint has not yet been filed.
The dog, now named Mercy, is alive and well and under the care of the Butler County Humane Society.
