
State Police are alerting people to a scam involving an EZ-Pass.
A 57-year-old Slippery Rock man lost money after he reported receiving a text from EZ-pass saying that he owed $125 in fees. The man clicked the link and paid $125.
Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police in Butler.
Police also want to remind everyone EZ-pass will not reach out for owed amounts. If you receive one of these texts you are asked to report it to State Police.
