Motorists should be aware of construction work this week on a main bridge in Muddy Creek Township.
PennDOT will begin the next phase of the $6.3 million Portersville Bridge replacement project over Interstate 79 tonight at 8 p.m. weather permitting.
Nightly through Friday, crews will be detouring traffic off Interstate 79 both northbound and southbound to allow for erecting bridge beams for the new Portersville Bridge. East Portersville Road will also be reduced to a single lane with flagging until 6 a.m. daily.
This project is expected to continue until June of 2024.
