Power is out at the Butler Area School District’s administration building following an accident this morning.
District officials say a garbage truck hit a utility pole earlier this morning in the admin parking lot on the Senior High School campus.
The administration building is currently closed, but officials are hopeful power will be restored by this afternoon. The district’s main phone line is also unavailable.
All schools in the district have power and are on a regular schedule.
The accident also caused some significant delays on New Castle Road earlier this morning.
