Cleanup is happening this morning after yesterday’s powerful storms moved through the county.
One of the areas hit hard was the airport in Penn Township. Witnesses say some planes actually flipped over due to the gusty winds.
More than 30 calls came into the Butler County 911 Center for downed wires or other storm related issues.
The National Weather Service issued their first severe thunderstorm warning around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.
About 450 homes are still without power this morning according to First Energy.
Drivers are urged to use caution this morning as debris may still be on the road—and make sure to never drive over a downed wire.
