Those interested in getting an up-close view of some majestic birds at a local park will have the opportunity at a couple of special events later this week.
On Wednesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and then again from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Preston’s Pearl pontoon boat will head out on Lake Arthur from the McDanel’s Launch on the North Shore of Moraine State Park.
The Park Naturalist will provide more information as well as lead those in attendance on a cruise featuring views of eagles and ospreys from the boat’s observation deck using available binoculars.
Seating is limited, and tickets are $19 for adults, $10 for kids 3 to 12, and free for those 2 and younger. Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling the Owlet Gift Shop at 724-368-9185 or visiting the Moraine Preservation Fund website.
