The Butler County Prison is adding a new educational tool for inmates.
Commissioners recently approved the purchase of an app known as IGNITE, which is an educational service that offers professional certifications for inmates.
There are over 30,000 hours of training and classes on the app. Some of the certifications include OSHA, SafeServ, and even sterilizing medical equipment.
Prison officials believe it will receive a lot of participation and build educational pathways.
It will cost $5,000 per year.
