A prisoner escaped during a work release program, which led to an hours long search in Butler County.
State police say 33-year-old Dustin Miller is an inmate at the Mercer County Jail and was out on four-hour furlough to pick up items for an upcoming work release program.
During a stop at the Fairground Market in Prospect yesterday around 10:45 a.m., Miller took off toward the tree line.
A search team was brought in, including a helicopter.
Eventually Miller was caught and taken back to the Mercer County Jail. He was serving time for eluding police; Miller is expected to face additional charges.
