The State Senate will reconsider a bill that would create a Cannabis Control Board after the bill failed to pass on the senate floor.
The Republican sponsored bill would have created a Cannabis Control Board that oversees regulatory control over medical marijuana program and create uniform safety standards for consumers.
The bill was narrowly voted down, but a motion to reconsider the bill passed by a vote of 29 to 21.
Now the bill is being prepared to be brought forward for another senate floor vote.
Senate Majority leader Senator Kim Ward and local Senator Elder Vogel are co-sponsors on the bill.
