A group of Republican lawmakers have introduced two bills to hand over personal information to the federal government.
Governor Josh Shapiro declined to provide the federal government with voter data and SNAP benefits, which led the GOP to introduce the two bills.
The first would give SNAP data to USDA; the Trump administration had previously threatened not handing over nearly $500 million in benefits if not given by Shapiro.
The second bill will hand over the voter roll information, which can include social security numbers and more personal information.
The bills will supersede the governor and hand the information over to federal government.
Shapiro has sued the federal government over the data connect to these organizations claiming the White House cannot withhold funds in attempt to extort state information.
