After a year after a special election in the Pennsylvania state house, a new proposed law will prevent politicians for running for two seats in one election cycle.
After several special elections that delayed work done in the state, State Representatives Russ Diamond of Lebanon and Mark Rozzi of Berks are sponsoring a bill that would have politicians only running for one seat.
There have been 17 special elections in Pennsylvania in the last three years and seven just this past year.
The bill isn’t expected to be considered in the House State Government Committee until next year.
