A newly proposed law would ban unmarked and “Ghost Guns” in Pennsylvania.
“Ghost Guns” are homemade guns that do not have serial numbers to track if they are used in a crime. They are often made with 3D printers as kits and then assembled, which makes the gun untraceable.
Two bills, House Bill 1065 and 1099, will create strict regulations on the sale of gun parts and prevent the creation of 3D printed guns without a federal registration.
The bills will also ban the creation, sale, and possession of these guns.
H.B. 1099 passed through the house judiciary committee along party lines while a vote for 1065 has yet to happen.
