The Prospect League will further expand into Missouri in 2019. It was announced that the city of Cape Girardeau will join the collegiate baseball league. The city is in southeast Missouri, about 115 miles south of St. Louis.
The league will have 11 teams competing from a five-state region including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri this season, The Butler BlueSox are the lone team from PA.
