A Prospect woman accused of stealing a gun from a Jefferson Township home pled guilty and was sentenced on Tuesday.
In February 2025, police accused 28-year-old Samantha Eppinger of breaking into a home on the 200 block of Heller Road and stealing a gun. Video surveillance share on social media connected Eppinger to the crime.
She would plead guilty to burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of a firearm prohibited. Eppinger would be sentenced to 5 to 23 months in prison but was paroled at sentencing with 217 days of time served.
Along with the prison time Eppinger will remain on parole for 48 months, have to complete 60 hours community service, and pay $13,853 in fines, fees, and the cost of prosecution.
