There were rallies in Harrisburg and other locations today by groups calling for the immediate reopening of Pennsylvania’s economy.
The debate over the issue seems to be breaking down along party lines.
Last week the Republican controlled state legislature approved a measure that would permit many businesses to reopen following federal guidelines, but Governor Tom Wolf indicated he would veto the bill.
This morning, state Democratic legislative leaders in Harrisburg held a press call highlighting what they termed “the importance of a fact-based, scientific-led approach to the state’s COVID-19 response.”
