Pullman Park is exploring the possibility of adding new turf to the infield.
At a meeting earlier this week, the Stadium Authority voted to approved the purchase of new turf around the home plate area, if the funding is available. It’s expected to cost around $7,000.
Authority members also say they have gotten pricing on replacing the entire infield, which would cost in between $140,000 to $190,000.
The infield has not been replaced since the park opened in 2008. But authority members are hopeful that an agreement can be reached with a company called Forever Lawn, that could possibility include sponsorships of the park.
Park officials also say they will be repairing the outfield and replacing the fencing along both dugouts.
