A couple of key injuries hit the Steelers training camp this week. Steelers rookie quarterback Will Howard suffered a fracture in his throwing hand in practice Tuesday and will miss several weeks. Howard was expected to see time in this Saturday night’s preseason game in Jacksonville.
The Steelers’ Dean Lowry revealed on social media that he tore his ACL and will miss the entire 2025 season. Alex Highsmith and Calvin Austin III remain sidelined with injuries.
The Steelers signed defensive back Daryl Porter Jr. His father formerly played for the Black and Gold. The team also waived tight end Kevin Foelsch, who was from New Haven University.
