Thursday Night Football – The Los Angeles Rams pummeled the New England Patriots 24-3 last night at home. The Rams defense sacked Patriots quarterback Cam Newton four times and returned an interception for a touchdown. Newton was pulled in the fourth quarter.
Rams quarterback Jared Goff threw for just 137 yards – but had a passing and rushing touchdown. Rookie running back Cam Akers rushed for 171 yards.
The loss ends New England’s NFL record streak of 17 straight seasons with at least 10 wins, as they fell to 6-7. The Rams improved to 9-4 and lead the NFC West over Seattle by a half-game.
