There’s still time to register for a collection of old and unused chemicals to safely dispose of them.
The Pennsylvania Resources Council recycling event takes place Saturday at Karns City Junior/Senior High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can bring unused chemicals like household cleaners, paints, pesticides and more. Tires will also be accepted.
There is a fee of $20 for 10 gallons or 50 pounds of most materials but there are some additional fees for certain items like fire extinguishers.
To sign up for a spot, visit the PRC website or call 412-488-7490.
