Talks have resumed between the medical techs and administration of Independence Health System.
According to the union representing medical techs at Butler Memorial Hospital, they had remote talks with Independence Health System leaders about a new wage scale.
Union officials say they welcome the continued talks, but are still looking for a fair wage.
“It’s movement, and movement is good,” CT Tech and Bargaining Committee member Tara Erskine said at a press conference yesterday. “We want to get this done. But it is not enough.”
The 235 medical techs at Butler Memorial Hospital say a strike can still be avoided and they are willing to continue conversations in the runup to the proposed strike date of next Tuesday.
