State Representative Aaron Bernstine has been removed from all committee assignments after being accused of using an anti-gay slur about a fellow lawmaker.
On Thursday, PennLive reported Bernstine used an anti-gay slur and claimed fellow lawmaker Malcom Kenyatta lost weight because he has AIDS at a fundraising event.
Bernstine has denied the allegations he made those comments.
On Tuesday, a week after the original alleged incident, Bernstine is now out from all state house committees. Bernstine was on the state insurance, transportation, intergovernmental affairs and operations, and labor and industry committees.
Bernstine said he resigned from those committees.
