Congressman Mike Kelly is joining with bipartisan lawmakers in a push to permanently expand the list of services that can utilize telehealth.
The bill would allow practitioners that were granted telehealth capabilities during the pandemic to continue with those services.
It would include physical and occupational therapists, along with speech language pathologists and audiologists.
Kelly says that residents have come to rely on these telehealth services since the pandemic and they should become a permanent fixture in the health care industry.
“Americans across the country, especially rural areas, have seen the benefits of telehealth services following the COVID-19 pandemic. Seniors now have the convenience of seeing their doctor from the comfort of their own home. Families with children have new flexibility to work around their busy lives,” Kelly said.
