There is still time for local young people to learn coding as part of a nationwide contest.
U.S. Representative Mike Kelly announced the 2021 Congressional App Challenge earlier this summer.
This contest is an opportunity for all high school and middle school students of the 16th District to show off innovation, creative thinking, and problem solving skills. Students can work on their own or as part of a team of up to four students.
The Congressional App Challenge began in 2014 to encourage students to learn how to code. The deadline to register is September 10th with submissions required by November 1st. Winners will be announced in December during Computer Science Education week.
