Congressman Mike Kelly is proposing a bipartisan bill that aims to protect whistleblowers to the IRS.
The proposed bill would strengthen the whistleblower program and protect the awards program for coming forward.
The whistleblower program has collected more than $7.5 billion from businesses and individuals who have dodged taxes.
Kelly says the legislation “ensures fairness and accountability for the hardworking American taxpayer.”
