Repairs are set to begin at end of the school year on the roof of Slippery Rock Area Middle School.
Earlier this week, school board members approved a $10,355 quote from Staab Brothers, Inc for the supply and installation of roof railing at the middle school.
The work is expected to start the week after school is out, as work could have disrupted classroom activities. The project is scheduled to be completed before students return to class next year.
No formal bid for the project was held as it fell under the $13,200 threshold.
