Voters are set to go to the polls next Tuesday for the primary election.
For Republican voters in the county, they’ll have a number of selections in the race for Butler County Commissioner.
The two GOP incumbents Leslie Osche and Kim Geyer are both seeking re-election to a third term. However they face challenges from three different candidates.
- Ryan Covert: a Butler native and local business owner.
- Zach Scherer: a Karns City graduate and sales representative at Mike Kelly Automotive.
- Joseph King: a Middlesex Twp. resident and farmer.
The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election. In the Democratic primary, current County Commissioner Kevin Boozel will be the only candidate on the ballot.
