As students return to school, the Pennsylvania Departments of Insurance, Education, and Human Servicers are reminding students about tools available.
Students renting can acquire renter’s insurance that can cost between $15-$20 a month and will cover personal property, liability protection, living expenses in emergencies, and commuters.
There are also housing and transportation, mental health, and other resources available through the PA Empower U Program.
College students suffering from food insecurity can apply for SNAP benefits as well.
