A mass later tonight in Pittsburgh will celebrate the tenure of Bishop David Zubik as he prepares to retire.
The Mass of Thanksgiving will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland.
Zubik announced his retirement earlier this year as he reached the church’s mandatory retirement age of 75.
He served 18 years as the Bishop of Pittsburgh.
Auxiliary Bishop Mark Eckman was named his successor and will officially be installed next week.
