Knoch High School has begun the search for a new boys varsity basketball coach after current coach Ron McNabb announced his retirement. McNabb led the Knights for eight years making it to the post-season in six of those. His overall record of 113-67 ranks him third on Knoch’s all time wins list, games coached, and winning percentage. His teams also tied for the section title the past two years with Highlands, and in 2013-14 earned a section title tied with Mars & Indiana.
McNabb will not be leaving basketball behind. He will continue to work with players of all ages through his Pittsburgh Basketball Academy in Freeport.
The South Butler County School District posted the open position on the WPIAL’s website this past Saturday, asking for applications by September 14.
