Improvements continue to be made at Butler City parks.
After a three week closure, Rotary Park on the Island has been reopened to the public.
Crews installed new sidewalks, a shelter, more parking, improved ADA compliance, and prepped for new playground equipment which could be in place later this year.
Local contractor W.K. Thomas is expected to begin work on a shelter and paving at Memorial Park later this month.
Over a million dollars to pay for these projects came through Community Development Block Grant Cares Act funding.
