PennDOT officials are touting the success of roundabouts as they continue to grow in popularity across the Commonwealth.
A new study has found that crashes with injuries were reduced by 51 percent over a 20 year period. Total crashes also dropped by seven percent.
Over the last 20 years, PennDOT has built over 100 roundabouts at intersections they deemed dangerous.
There are 30 more roundabouts that are in various stages of either design or construction in Pennsylvania.
