First responders were called to the scene of a vehicle accident that backed up traffic in Adams Township earlier this afternoon.
Calls came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 2:30 p.m. for a two vehicle crash on Route 228 near Mars High School.
Emergency responders from Adams Township, Callery, and Quality EMS arrived at the scene to find a passenger vehicle collided with a tractor trailer and an older woman in need of evaluation.
The road was fully blocked so traffic control was required for a time at Three Degree Road until the vehicles could be towed. The motorist needed to be taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
