Motorists traveling near an ongoing road project in Cranberry Township are being asked to use caution as traffic patterns will soon change.
Paving of new lanes on Route 228 behind a barrier will begin Thursday as part of the MSA Thruway project.
At some point after 7 p.m. crews will switch traffic signals and shift lanes. Delays are possible during this process and drivers are encouraged to use caution.
The $12 million MSA Thruway Project was approved in 2019 and began construction about a year ago. This project will include a tunnel as well as a roundabout and is expected to be completed sometime later this year.
