At least two people have sustained serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle crash on Route 422 westbound Thursday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 12:30 p.m. for a motorcycle down on 422 between Route 8 and Route 38.
Crews from Butler Township and Butler City were among those arriving at the scene to find a wire reportedly down on the highway. Route 422 in that area is expected to be closed for the rest of the afternoon.
At least two injured riders were taken to meet a helicopter at Butler Memorial Hospital for additional treatment of unknown injuries.
