A Sarver man is in custody after it’s alleged he sexually assaulted a minor after buying them alcohol.
Police allege that after 27-year-old Derrian Alcorn bought a 15-year-old alcohol he sexually assaulted the minor at his home.
Alcorn is also alleged to have asked the minor for sexual photos while buying the alcohol. The minor did not send the elicit photos, but Alcorn is still bought drinks.
According to charging documents, after consuming the alcohol, Alcorn then brought the minor to his home and sexually assaulted her after she passed out.
DNA evidence was used to connect Alcorn to the crime. The alleged assaults took place in July 2024 but charges were not formally filed until Monday.
The father of a friend of the victim was the first to report the alleged assaults to Buffalo Township Police. The police claim that after the day after the alleged assault, the victim spoke to a friend about the assault.
The friend then informed their parent and their parent went to police and a forensic medical exam was completed on the child.
Police also used traffic cameras to track Alcorn’s movement in the area to charge him with the crime.
He’s facing several charges including rape, rape unconscious victim, rape substantially impaired person, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, and criminal solicitation.
Alcorn will have a preliminary hearing before Judge Jack Ripper on October 1.
