A Sarver man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a man in Slippery Rock.
Police were called to Grove City Hospital on August 30 after someone showed up with a broken jaw after an attack at the Grove Apartment Complex.
When police spoke with the victim and a witness, they said a pickup truck with several men were harassing them in the parking lot while heading to a party.
After leaving the party, police say the people in the truck then turned around and got into a verbal argument leading to 20-year-old Exzavier Johnson allegedly leaving the truck and hitting the victim in the face. Johnson claimed self defense to police.
The victim needed to have his jaw wired shut to heal.
Johnson was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
