BC3 Hall of Fame
The Butler County Community College will induct three former Pioneer athletes into its Charles W. Dunaway Pioneer Hall of Fame this afternoon at the Field House. the college will honor Karns City graduate Makenzie Craig, who was a standout basketball and volleyball player. Ohio native Matthew Lobaugh, who served in the military overseas – then became a 1,000 point scorer in men’s basketball, and Michael Schmidt, an all-star two-sport captain in baseball and basketball. Schmidt was a 1976 graduate of Butler High School. The ceremony begins at 1 PM.
Racing This Weekend
The 151st Kentucky Derby will run tonight at Churchill Downs in Louisville. 20 horses are in the field. Post time will be just before 7 PM.
NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday. Hear the race on WBUT beginning at 2:30 PM. Chase Elliot is the defending race winner.
The annual Pittsburgh Marathon will take place Sunday morning at 7 AM. A record number of more than 45,000 participants are registered.
