A Saxonburg man is receiving honors for his decades of work in the news field in Missouri.
Fred Caesar was recently named to the St. Louis TV Hall of Fame. Caesar worked in news departments in St. Louis from the late 1960s through the 1970s.
He said he was humbled to receive such an honor and to have his name associated with some media legends.
“People that they have honored include Bob Costas, Dave Garroway, Joe Garagiola, and Jack Buck are some of the names people may recognized and I’m now included among that rank. I’m very moved and very honored,” Caesar said.
Caesar’s career also included stops in Harrisburg and Portland, Maine before finally retiring to Saxonburg to be around family.
The ceremony was held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
