District leaders across the state are meeting in a webinar later today to discuss potential strategies as the situation develops.
Butler’s Superintendent Dr. Brian White said the state is currently the only entity that can close schools due to the coronavirus.
Superintendents, though, across the county are preparing for the possibility of the schools closing.
Districts are working through a variety of plans that would not require them to make up days missed.
But if you’ve driven by a school Friday and haven’t seen any students, that’s because it’s a scheduled day off in the Butler and South Butler School Districts.
