Schwebel Baking announced it will end its operations and will liquidate its business. The announcement was made this Wednesday.
The longtime bakery known for its bread said in a statement that efforts have been made to find a buyer or investors. However, the company could not find a way to continue going forward.
Executives with the company thanked everyone who worked for the bakery across its 120-year lifespan and appreciates customers as well.
Operations are to continue through early July before being slowed down and stopping at the end of summer.
