PennDOT officials say the second phase of the Portersville Bridge project is set to begin in a couple of weeks.
Starting on August 9th, crews will begin demolishing the second stage of the existing bridge that goes over I-79 in Muddy Creek Township.
During that time, there will be overnight closures on both I-79 northbound and southbound beginning at 8 p.m. Detours will be in place.
The demolition is scheduled through August 18th, weather pending.
PennDOT expects the bridge to be completed by June 2024.
